Amanda McCallum
Founder & Executive Director
Amanda McCallum
Executive Director & Founder
Amanda McCallum’s passion for early childhood education began at a very young age. Her grandmother, Marlene Martin, owned and operated Kiddie Korral in Waubeka, Wisconsin for more than 20 years. Growing up, Amanda spent every opportunity she could alongside her grandmother at the daycare, later working there as she grew older. These early experiences laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to children and families.
As her grandmother retired, Amanda’s aunt, Sandy, opened Lil’ Angels, where Amanda continued her journey in child care while raising a family of her own. After the center was sold, Amanda followed her calling and opened a licensed in-home daycare, Kiddie Korral II, which she successfully operated in two different states beginning in 2009.
In 2016, Amanda’s husband, Joe, retired after 20 years of service in the United States Air Force. Together, they continued to grow Kiddie Korral, transitioning in 2018 from an in-home setting to Christ Lutheran Church. In 2019, the program officially became a nonprofit organization and was reestablished as Kiddie Korral 2.0.
In 2021, Amanda and her team reached a major milestone by purchasing their current facility and successfully relocating more than 70 families across town. Today, Kiddie Korral 2.0 is licensed for 120 children, employs over 30 staff members, and continues to serve families with high-quality, community-focused child care. As a nonprofit organization, Joe serves as President and Chair of the Board.
Amanda and Joe are the proud parents of seven children and grandparents to three. Outside of work, they enjoy spending time with their family and riding their motorcycle whenever they get the chance.

Joe married Amanda in 2015, and together they have built both a strong family and a mission-driven organization. They are proud parents to seven children and grandparents to three. Family is at the heart of everything Joe does, and it strongly influences his dedication to supporting children, families, and staff within the organization.
Passionate about giving back to the community, Joe finds great fulfillment in his service as President of the Kiddie Korral 2.0 Board of Directors. Outside of his leadership role, he enjoys motorcycle riding and spending time with his family whenever possible.
